When Colette Rochelle Photography approached me for a full brand identity, I knew this wasn’t just about crafting a beautiful logo. It was about translating the raw beauty of real life into a visual language—something that would reflect her unique style of storytelling through imagery.

Colette’s tagline says it all:
“Real life, naturally captured.”

Her photography is tender, heartfelt, and effortlessly natural—full of quiet moments and golden light. The goal was to create a brand identity that felt the same.

The Logo System

The primary logo uses an organic serif typeface that feels both timeless and grounded. Its slightly earthy character nods to Colette’s appreciation for nostalgia and real, unfiltered moments. Alongside the type, we included a hand-drawn floral illustration—soft, organic, and symbolic of growth, authenticity, and real, unfiltered life.

The secondary mark, a circular emblem, gives the brand flexibility across social platforms, packaging, and watermarking. It features the same florals surrounded by the words:

“Colette Rochelle Photography — Real Life, Naturally Captured”
The emblem acts almost like a seal of sincerity—perfect for use on client materials or as a subtle brand stamp on photo galleries.

Color Story

The color palette is a warm, earthy blend of clay reds, soft greens and blues, and creamy neutrals. These tones were chosen to reflect the natural environments Colette often shoots in—fields, forests, golden hour—and to evoke feelings of comfort, timelessness, and connection.

• Clay Red: Rooted, passionate, earthy
• Olive Green: natural, organic, grounded
• Soft Cream: Warm and inviting
• Ochre: Joyful and friendly
• Soft Sky Blue: Calm, peaceful, authentic

These hues pair beautifully with natural light photography and help the brand feel consistent across touchpoints.
