Bungalow 214 is a short term rental property in McKinney Texas. The owners reached out to me to design the branding and were looking for a brand that felt both modern and vintage to fit the destination of McKinney. They also wanted the branding to feel quality and stylish while also feeling cozy and inviting because Bungalow 214 is targeted towards families who value a beautiful place to stay that is also kid-friendly.
After reviewing their answers to my branding questionnaire and taking a look at the Pinterest inspiration board, I created a mood board and color palette for them to review. We decided we wanted to go with a modern serif font, warm and inviting colors, and some some subtle vintage elements to give the brand some charm and make it unique.
I then began sketching and designing their logos and brand elements which included submarks, alternate logos, and a pattern. I designed a retro key tag and vintage keyhole version of their logos to fit the historic craftsman they will be renting out. I also created a secondary logo design that had a minimal floorplan frame as a subtle way to tie in the house to the brand.
